The 45% honey in Sanoskin Melladerm Plus has been specially selected for its naturally high glucose oxidase and phenolic content and formulated into a unique gentle wound gel which has been shown to not cause additional pain in patient trials compared to other honey products.
The honey used in Sanoskin® Melladerm® Plus comes from a multi-flower mountain region in Bulgaria. This particular honey has been selected due the high peroxide level and also from strict criteria that excludes honey containing residues of heavy metals, antibiotics and pesticides and is also tested for its ORAC* value. Due to the high ORAC value of the honey used, oxygen radicals can be eliminated from the wound which leads to less damage during the inflammation phase.

The honey used in Sanoskin Melladerm comes from South Africa, harvested from the flowers of the Cape heathers (known as fynbos) is specially selected by strict criteria that excludes honey which contains residues of heavy metals, antibiotics and pesticides and is also tested for its ORAC* value. Due to the high ORAC value of the fynbos honey used, oxygen radicals can be eliminated from the wound which leads to less damage during the inflammation phase. Other ingredients in this unique formula are glycerine, propylene glycol, PEG 4000 and vitamin C & E.
